Update
The failover process is complete and teams have verified services are running as expected. During the failover, we did observe a small amount of failed requests for the services indicated, but overall impact was very minimal. We aren't expecting any further customer impact.

Our team is now performing the final actions in this maintenance and we're continuing to monitor.

During this time, our Engineering Team will be performing maintenance to failover an internal service from one cluster to another.

This maintenance was previously scheduled to be completed in the near future and our team has done extensive planning and testing to ensure a smooth failover. Due to the recent incident with MongoDB creation for new clusters, this maintenance has become urgent and we are moving it forward to today.

Existing infrastructure will continue running without issue. However, there are dependencies on multiple services: during the failover, there may be customer impacts with associated services including:

Droplet creates with a root password
Droplet root password resets
MongoDB cluster creates
Let’sEncrypt certificate creation (for Load Balancers and Spaces)
LoadBalancer creation with certificates
Spaces key creation
Marketplace (Add-Ons) will be unavailable for both vendors and users
App Platform builds and deploys may see latency
Users will be unable to fetch CSV invoices
Bulk actions in the Spaces UI

Multiple teams will be engaged to keep downtime to a minimum and mitigate any impact that does occur. We apologize for the short notice and will post further updates if we experience any unexpected issues, as well as progress updates.
